BioShock 2 Special Edition.

I was done with all this limited/collectors edition nonsense. I don’t want figures and replica guns and all that shit, it just took me a few extra thirty quids to realise it. So no, I was done. I was all like “Dude, I am fully not buying special edition bullshit no more, yo. I am just going to buy normal games without metal tins, because I am a man now.”

And then this happened:

Records! My One weakness!

BioShock 2 has the soundtrack of the original game on vinyl, which is probably the best thing I can imagine in the world.*

You know what else it has? An artbook, the soundtrack of the sequel on CD, posters, it might even have some other crap. Who can say?

The Cult of Rapture can, of course!

The Special Edition will come in 13″x13” premium packaging with special art on both the slipcase and the box cover. Inside, you will find three posters featuring vintage ads from Rapture (rolled), a vinyl 180g LP featuring the orchestral score from the original BioShock, a CD containing the BioShock 2 orchestral score, a 164 page 8″x11″ hardbound artbook chock full of developer commentary and, of course, a copy of BioShock 2.

I think I covered everything beforehand, but they included fancy things such as measurements, which makes it all official.

I read somewhere that pre-orders and stuff start pretty soon. I wish I didn’t still get excited by stuff like this but I do, I really do. I think I should see a doctor.

The doctor would say “Fuck off Matt.”

I would say “Thank you, Doctor. I’ll do that.”

*Probably not, but hyperbole makes everything sound more exciting.
