Indie Games: Super HYPERCUBE is… super.

You like free stuff, don’t you? Of course you do – it’s free. Well you’re going to bloody love this.

If you ever played with one of those shaped block things as a young ‘un (see fig.A) then you’ll already be familiar with the principle of Super HYPERCUBE. For want of a better cliche, it’s a bit like Tetris ‘on speed’.

According to the developer, it was made for this year’s Gamma art/game show in Montréal, where the theme is apparently about red/cyan stereoscopy. Whatever that means.

An interesting feature is the ability to use wiimote headtracking to control the game, though you will need some silly glasses with LEDs attached to them to do this. Luckily, you can also use your keyboard or Xbox 360 controller.

Either way, it certainly looks rather good and plays just as well with later levels getting increasingly harder. You can go download it here and watch a video of it below. Go on – treat yourself.
